Three times a day the monastic community meets for a celebration, a time of prayer, reading, song and silence. Everyone is always invited to attend these celebrations. In the celebrations we use several other languages besides Frisian and Dutch when singing the songs.

• Morning celebration - 9:30 a.m. (on Sundays and Wednesdays at Jorwert church)
• Afternoon celebration - 5:10 p.m.(not Sunday afternoons)
• Evening celebration - 9:45 p.m.

All celebrations are at Klooster Westerhûs, except the morning celebrations on Sundays and Wednesdays. Those are at 09.30 in the church of Jorwert.

If you want to celebrate with us at monastery Westerhûs, you can wait in the cloister hallway until the bell is rung. The pastor will ring the bell 10 minutes before the celebration begins and then take you to the chapel.
