Je kunt een kamer op Klooster Westerhûs reserveren daarnaast bieden we een breed scala aan speciale programma-onderdelen aan. Van Meeleefdagen tot 5-daagse Stilteretraites en van Jongerenweekenden tot een midweek Pelgrimeren. Daarnaast is er een Groen Kloosterweekend, een Open Dag en een een midweek speciaal rondom het thema: Weidevogels.

• Lent and Celebration from March 6 to April 17. During Lent, you are welcome to visit the church in Jorwert every Thursday for a short celebration. Read more

• De Stilteretraite van 10 tot 14 maart is inmiddels volledig bezet. Voor de periode 6 tot 10 oktober (nieuw, extra mogelijkheid) en 1 tot 5 december is nog wel ruimte. Het prachtige, verstillende gebouw van klooster Westerhûs, het ritme van de dagelijkse vieringen en het weideland rondom vormen het gastvrije thuis van de retraite. Lees verder en reserveer.
• Paasweekend, een 3-daags verblijf op Klooster Westerhûs met Pasen. Goede Vrijdag 18 april – maandag 21 april. Prijs: € 370,- voor 1 persoon € 650,- voor 2 personen op een van onze gastenkamers. Je kunt hier reserveren (Het is paasweekend is inmiddels volledig bezet).
• Monday, April 28 - Friday, May 2, 2025, midweek Meadow Birds. In this midweek we focus on meadow birds and the decline of meadow birds in the Frisian landscape. How can we deal with this in the perspective of church and faith? More information for this special midweek? Register directly
• (VOL) 23 – 25 mei het tweede Jongerenweekend van 2025. Op adem komen. Een weekend voor jongeren van 18 – 30 jaar. Het eerst volgende Jongerenweekend is in oktober. Direct een kamer reserveren voor het Jongerenweekend?

• Singing at the Monastery. Singing together is unifying. All voices flow together into a whole. This evening is for anyone who enjoys singing together. You do not need any singing experience. Led by choir director Martijn van Dongen we sing next to the music of Nijkleaster always something surprising. The music is unison and polyphonic. Thursday, June 19, October 30 and December 11, 19:30 - 21:00 at monastery Westerhûs. Costs: € 6,00 each time, registration is not necessary.
• Monday, August 4 - Friday, August 8, 2025. Midweek Zen Meditation and Tai Chi Tao. Within the daily rhythm of the monastery, where the day begins with physical awakening and meditation, this midweek introduces you to Zen meditation and Tai Chi Tao. Will you join us? • Vrijdag 15 – zondag 17 augustus 2025, Mystiek weekend met Marianne Vonkeman. Dit weekend leef je mee op het ritme van Klooster Westerhûs. Ook Marianne Vonkeman is in het klooster te gast. Zij hield dertig jaar lang een dagboek bij over haar relatie met God. Het weekend is inmiddels volledig bezet.

• On Sunday, August 24, from 15:00 - 17:00, we will organize an Open Day at Klooster Westerhûs. Everyone is welcome, registration is not necessary.
• Friday, Sept. 12 - Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025. Weekend: The wisdom of the labyrinth. Whoever is guided by the winding path of the labyrinth eventually arrives at the center. From there the path leads back out. More information and sign up for the labyrinth weekend.
• The second Stilter Retreat (midweek) in 2025 is from Oct. 6 to 10. The beautiful, hushed building of monastery Westerhûs, the rhythm of daily celebrations and the meadowland all around are the welcoming home of the retreat. Read on and book.
