Second book of reflections by Reinier Nummerdor
Huiswaarts has been published, the second book of reflections by Rev. Reinier Nummerdor of Westerhûs Monastery in Hilaard. Just like his first book, Een open weg, all proceeds from this publication will go to the Help Me Live Foundation, which supports the work of Robert Smits among underprivileged children in Brazil. On November 30, 2024, Reinier presented the first copy to Robert Smits, to whom the book is dedicated.
Huiswaarts contains twenty-six reflections. It begins with Abram setting out on a journey. This is followed by fourteen reflections on passages from the Gospels and eleven on stories from the Book of Acts. All of these are stories about setting out on a journey, with the ultimate destination of coming home to yourself, finding inner peace, and living your life from that place of inner peace to be a blessing to others, however humble that may be.
The book, published by Louise Publishers in Grou, is a beautifully produced hardcover edition and is well worth reading yourself or giving as a gift. Huiswaarts (176 pages, €20 excluding shipping costs).
