A few lines from a song by Huub Oosterhuis accompany me through life
“Forge your soul, my little daughter, in fire!
Cherish hope and love, for the long haul
has already broken so many.
But you go, in a trail of old dreams,
toward a new dawn.”
This reminds me that I too want to be part of that centuries-old tradition of faith, that it nourishes and guides me, offering new opportunities every day.
