From the very beginning, the Nijkleasterkuier on Wednesday mornings has been a regular point in the week.
The Nijkleasterkuier is a weekly walk on Wednesday mornings at Nijkleaster. You are welcome for a simple program of silence, reflection and connection. We begin at 9:30 a.m. with morning prayer, followed by coffee and introductions. At Nijkleaster, it is the established practice to pilgrimage in the triad: silence - reflection - connection. We walk: first in silence, then in conversation, pieces are read or songs are sung. We conclude by eating lunch brought by ourselves. You are welcome, even if you only attend the celebration or want to walk a shorter route.
The length of the Nijkleasterkuier depends on the weather and participants. The walk takes about 60 minutes.

09:30 morning prayer (short service, prayer, silence and some songs)
10:00 coffee and tea
10:30 start of NijKleasterkuier
12:00 lunch (bring your own)
Some notes to define your thoughts:
- Collect at the church of Jorwert (Sluytermanwei 4, Jorwert). Park on the outskirts of Jorwert or on the special parking spaces right across from the café next to the farm.
- The morning service begins at 9:30 a.m. Even if you are late: just come in
- In winter, the church is not heated. Please put on warm clothes
- Good walking shoes or boots are important
- Groups larger than eight people please notify in advance. A Customized Program for groups is also possible (maximum of 12 persons). Ask about the possibilities for a tailor-made program at info@nijkleaster.frl.
