The Sunday services are organized by the Protestant monastic community Nijkleaster-Westerwert. Unless otherwise stated, these take place in the Redbadtsjerke, in the heart of the village of Jorwert, and begin at 09:30. The standard monthly structure of the services is outlined below. Any exceptions will be announced accordingly. The services are multilingual with a special focus on Frisian. Most hymns are sung in both Dutch and Frisian simultaneously.
Standard monthly program structure:
- 1st Sunday of the month: Sunday service
- 2nd Sunday of the month: Circle of Attention morning prayer
(Circle of Attention) - 3rd Sunday of the month: Sunday service
- 4th Sunday of the month: LYTS&grut family service with the children (10:30)
- When there is a 5th Sunday in the month, we celebrate together
with the local church communities in the region.
