A few practical points to prepare for your stay at Westerhûs:

1. Arrival and departure times
   We expect you on arrival day between 15:30 and 16:00. If you arrive later than 15:30-16:00 and/or do not join us for dinner at 18:00, please let us know. Please contact us by phone at 06 39 407 569.
2. If you would like to come at a different time, please send an email to reservering@nijkleaster.frl attaching your reservation number. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a time for introductions. At 6:00 pm is the hot evening meal. At the end of your stay, departure is at 10:30 am on Friday and after lunch on Sunday.

4. We keep silence from 10 p.m. at night until the next morning after morning prayer (10 a.m.). At other times there is room for meeting and conversation.
5. Directions by car
   By navigation, keep the address It Westerhûs 1, 9027 BN,Hijlaard. In the village is a narrow road that leads to the monastery. The speed limit here is 15 km per hour and traffic to and from the farm has the right of way. In that case, drive slowly back to where you came from. You can park in the parking lot in front of the entrance to the monastery. The parking lot has a charging station where you can charge your car for a fee.
6. Public transportation
   If you come by public transportation, take Qbuzz Bus 92 from Bolsward or Leeuwarden. Get off at stop Provinciale weg Hilaard. From the bus stop to the monastery it is a two km walk. If you want to be picked up from the bus stop, please let us know your arrival time on time.
7. Using soap
   We use a septic tank at Nijkleaster Westerhûs because there is no sewage system. This means that only biodegradable soap and shampoo may be used. We therefore ask you to bring sustainable, organic soap and shampoo. You can also purchase a bar of soap or hair soap from us.
8. Meals, diets and allergies
   We eat healthy, vegetarian meals at the monastery. If you have a diet, food allergy or intolerance, please contact us at least ten days before your stay to discuss options. We cannot accommodate all wishes but we will do our best.
9. No pets are allowed with the exception of assistance dogs.
10. Clothing It can be cold in the countryside around Nijkleaster Westerhûs. Bring warm (rain) clothes, good walking shoes and slippers or indoor shoes.
11. Towels and bedding are provided.
