Editorial board member Stephan is editor-in-chief of VOLUME and co-founder of research and design firm MANN. Kees de Haan is an architect at J.O.N.G. Architects. 2024: Head-neck monastery as small society
The monumental head-neck-hull farmhouse Westerhรปs, a few kilometers outside Jorwert, has been converted into a modern monastery. Over a year ago, during Pentecost 2023, Klooster Westerhรปs opened its doors. After years of dreaming, planning and actually building, three couples have moved into the adjacent houses. They live and work at the monastery. Friesland Post took a look at Reinier and Trees Nummerdor.
