Income Tax Return and Donations
Do you ever donate money to Nijkleaster? Or do you volunteer but don’t receive reimbursement for your expenses? Or do you not need reimbursement? In that case, you’re making a donation. You may be able to claim a tax deduction for this on your income tax return. Under certain conditions, a donation to Nijkleaster may be deducted on your income tax return. We would like to store the surplus energy that we currently supply to the grid ourselves, so that we can use our own energy in the evening and at night. This means that we will need to purchase less electricity from the grid.

There are no requirements—you can simply join in. Nijkleaster aims to be a resting place along your journey. Why include Nijkleaster in my will?
A bequest for Nijkleaster is not just a bequest for Nijkleaster alone, you are also contributing to the future of the church in Friesland.
It’s no secret that churches are facing tough times. Many churches will have to close their doors in the coming decades. Nijkleaster wants to develop a new concept: a church center for people from near and far. In the days before churches were built on every mound and in every village, there were also such centers—the monasteries—where people could go with their questions and concerns, their joy and their thanksgiving. Nijkleaster aims to once again create such a spiritual center for people from a wider region. Read more about bequests here.
Periodic Donation
You can also support Nijkleaster through a recurring donation. This means you commit to supporting us with a fixed amount for five years. The advantage is that this donation is fully tax-deductible. You can set up a recurring donation by filling out this form from the IRS and sending it to us.
